Christmas Traditions Around the World

Every country celebrates Christmas in their own unique and fun ways. We found a great website called "Christmas Around the World" which summarizes some of the various Christmas traditions.




*Imagine the idea of Christmas being a SUMMER holiday. Well it is in places like Australia and South Africa.




*In Greece Santa Claus is celebrated as the patron saint of sailors.




*In Caracas, Venezuela it is customary to roller skate to Christmas church service.




*In Iran children do not get gifts but they do get new clothes to read on Christmas Day.
